Valentina Derevyanko, a suspected scammer.

It's important to note that this page discusses my SUSPICIONS & OBSERVATIONS, not FACTS. I have ONLY lost money ONCE to a (suspected) scammer, and that was Valentina Derevyanko. Decide for yourself whether to continue communication. Good luck!

I met a woman reporting her name to be Valentina Derevyanko (Kherson, Ukraine) on FDating.com in April 2016. Even though I carefully looked I couldn't find any pictures of her anywhere online except the ones on FDating. Although quite beautiful she instantly accepted my chat request. Not long after meeting her she told me she had been laid off two months prior and mentioned she and her son had no food in the house: she never expressedly asked for help, but interjected distain over her circumstances wherever it remotely fit the conversation.

Very soon later she met me on Skype: she was attractive and seemingly gave me her full attention. We met there perhaps 5 times, only -once- did she use or offer video. Because she seemed to be a class act, because hadn't expressly asked for help, because I did see her on Skype and the amount of money, $35 for food, was small, I felt ok about wiring money to her, and promised to send it right away. Western Union doesn't accept AMEX, so I had to locate an actual human agent vs. simply going online, and it took me almost 24 hours longer than I expected to get the money wired. Valentina Derevyanko was polite and understanding about the delay. It was then nearly a day and a half before she picked up the cash (now 2 1/2 days with a child and 'no food in the house.') She never told me she collected the funds but I got a text advisory from Western Union. During the pre-receipt period she was cheerful, in touch and chatty. Once she received the money I saw much less of Valentina Derevyanko, and she missed a handful of scheduled online 'dates' although most of the time her icon reported her to be online and I tried speaking to her. We did chat 2-3 more times again on Skype (text only). The times we did later connect she asserted that she had to leave her apartment and move to a hostel because of unpaid rent, her son now with her grandmother. She described conditions at the hostel as full of drunks and prostitutes with violence happening even at 2:30 in the afternoon. At first she reported being concerned her laptop would be stolen, (thereby making continued contact impossible) but later she told me she would have to sell her laptop to be able to move back into her apartment, all while never explicitly asking for money. I gently challenged the math (the value of a used laptop vs. a month's rent, etc.) and she asserted she didn't understand figures well. I reminded her that I couldn't help her a 2nd time (as was *clearly* discussed before the first assistance..) unless I was able to snail mail a greeting card to her and she be able to describe it to me. She quickly (almost abruptly) thanked me for my earlier help, said Good-bye and that's the last I have communicated with her.

......... Until 4/22/16... I had previously included her as a favorite on http://russian-personals.com/ with many different pictures of her. I said hello, about an hour later she made a single reply.

Searching her profile description texts I also found her at: www.cuteonly.com/297935.
